I'm finally typing up what I have so far in my book instead of writing it all in my notebook. I'm not very good at typing so this is sort of a struggle for me.
Also, I've realized something about my writing. Each time I write it, type it, or read it, I have this anticipation to see what happens next. Every time. I get so excited and I'm so excited to add more. Another thing I noticed is that I didn't describe the house very well but I decided that I would let the reader imagine the house anyway they want. Let their imagination flow.

Excerpt From My Book
"You're shorts are too short." My mom said as I got in the car to go to the high school football game, "Go change."
"Fine." I ran inside as fast as I could because I didn't want to be late. As soon as my hand touched the doorknob, I knew something was wrong. I opened the door and nothing was there. Literally nothing. All the furniture and pictures were gone.
I ran into my room. My TV, bed, and pictures of my friends of me were all gone. I ran into the kitchen to check if the fridge and pantry had anything in them. Nothing. The only things still in 1805 Goodlin Drive were the walls. I went back outside to tell my mom.
She was gone. The car was gone and so was all the art stuff I keep in the garage. My parents' divorce, my sister's death and now this.
I wanted to die.

Writing Frustrations
I have an idea for what happens to the girl in my boo, but it is very predictable. I have no idea what should happen but I don't really like the idea I have right now. if I can't think of anything else, it will be fine, but I hope I can think of something.

Project Proposal
20% Time
Project Proposal
Name: Maggie Hardin
Project Title: Writing a Book
Project Start Date: November 7, 2014
Project Completion Date: May 15, 2014
Mentor’s Name: Ms. Browning, Ms. Passi,
Dad, Celeigh Albritton
Brief Description: I will be writing a
book for 20% time. I am not sure if I will finish but I will try my best.
Overview of Project Proposal
1) Project Objective:
For
my 20% Time this year I plan to write a book. I already have a general idea of
the storyline is going to be. I hope to finish by the end of the year, but if I
don’t I hope to get at least 3/4th of the way done. At home I will
have my dad help me edit my grammar and sentence structure. My overall outcome
will be a story, blurb, and book cover.
2) Project Rationale:
I
am doing this project for many reasons. I want to get a head start on my
writing career (hopefully). I want to let my thoughts flow onto paper. Lastly,
I enjoy reading other people’s books; I want to give it a shot. This is
valuable for college, my career, and it will probably teach me a few life
lessons along the way. I am very excited for the outcome of my 20% time
project.
3) Project Steps:
-Write book (in sections)
-Edit book
-Design book cover
4) Timeline of Activities:
Done by:
April 2015
-Write book (in sections)
-Edit book
May 2015
-Design book cover
5) Available Human and Material
Resources:
-All of my mentors
- “How to Write” books
- Famous authors’’ books
6) Possible Road Blocks:
-I might have writers’ block
-I might not finish by the end of the
year
-I might get unmotivated
7) Research Questions:
-What is the average length of a young
adult fiction novel?
-About how long does it take to write,
edit, and publish a novel?
-What are good ways to design a book
cover?
-Where can I put my book if I actually
don’t want to publish it?
-How can I edit my book?

Death Day Book
I've finally decided what I am going to do. I'm going to write book. I have a few ideas already. I think I'm going to name it Death Day. It's going to be about a girl that dies, but she doesn't know it. I'll post what I have so far next week. during my 20% Time I will be writing my book and designing the cover. I might not finish by the end of the year, but hopefully I will be pretty close. I hope not to ever get writers' block, but if I do I will just work on my cover. Also, I will get my dad to check my grammar and sentence structure. Goodbye! :)
First Post
To
document this, this is my first 20% time blog post. I’m not positive what I
want to do, but I have a couple of ideas. My first idea is to write a book. I
have a two already started and I would just finish both or one of them during
20% time. My second idea is, is to make a dance documentary. Thank you for
reading this J
